Fatal stabbing suspect in custody after manhunt
A man wanted for murder after a fatal stabbing on State Line Road on March 2, is now in custody.
30-year-old Scott Burleson, of Wyandotte, Oklahoma, was arrested after a manhunt in Newton County Thursday afternoon.
The Newton County Sheriff’s Office says that manhunt took place near Kentucky Road and State Line Road, north of Seneca.
He had been facing second-degree murder and armed criminal action charges.
It stems from the stabbing death of 36-year-old Seth Langford, of Carl Junction.
Another suspect, 36-year-old Paul D. Phillips Jr., of Seneca, was arrested two weeks ago and faces second-degree robbery, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action.
