Saturday was a great day for the City of Carthage and the Four-State Area.

The 60th-annual Maple Leaf Parade drew thousands to the Maple Leaf City and signaled the final day of festival events for 2026.

There were about 150 floats and participants including the stations of Zimmer Marketing in Joplin.

The festival is the premiere event for the region as the leaves begin to change in October.

Temperatures were light-jacket cool but not cold and skies were sunny with highs for the day in the low 60s.

Thanks to everyone who made the 2026 Maple Leaf Parade and Festival a reality.
