Riley’s Act launched to make sure intoxicated people ejected from bars get home safely
MISSOURINET – An online effort named “Riley’s Act” has been launched in Tennessee to make sure intoxicated people that get kicked out of bars make it home safely.
It’s a direct result of the death of Riley Strain, a University of Missouri student who was forced to leave a bar during a trip to Nashville last month and then disappeared.
His body was found two weeks later in a river on the west side of Nashville.
The Change.org petition calls on various legislative bodies to enact laws that would require bar employees and owners to call a cab, or a ride share for any intoxicated guest that they force to leave the premises.
