Barry County authorities investigating pilfered ATM machine

GOLDEN, Mo – On Saturday morning, the Barry County Sheriff’s Office responded to Freedom Bank in Golden MO during the early morning hours.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found the ATM machine was broken into and a white Dodge pickup believed to be stolen.

There was also a church van from the Grandview 1st Baptist Church was found on Arkansas State Highway 143, south of the Missouri state line, with straps and hooks used to pull the ATM open.

A license plate belonging to the van was found at the ATM theft scene.
