Oklahoma judge throws out Tulsa massacre lawsuit

Thrown out: That’s what an Oklahoma judge did with a lawsuit that sought financial restitutions for the final three survivors of the 1921 Race massacre in Tulsa.

Tulsa County District Court Judge Caroline Wall on Friday dismissed with prejudice the lawsuit that was filed against the City of Tulsa and others.

The action effectively puts to an end any further attempts by survivors’ attorneys to seek restitutions.

The three survivors are now all over 100 years old.

The 1921 riot by white people left a still-undetermined number of people dead and 35 city blocks in Tulsa in ruins.
