Suspect in custody in Delaware County
Charges include sexual abuse of a child, rape first degree
The Delaware County Sheriff’s office reports that a subject is now in custody in connection with charges of sexual abuse of a child.
David Taylor Phillips, 36, of Jay was booked just before 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
He is accused of sexual abuse of a child under 12; lewd or indecent proposals or acts to a child; and rape first degree.
Bail reportedly has been set at $75,000. He will appear before a judge early in the work week.
If convicted, he reportedly could face up to life in jail.
