Head-on collision Saturday kills motorist in Cassville
It was Troop D's 100th fatality so far in 2022
A head-on collision has taken the life of a man from Cassville.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it happened around 5:30 p.m. Saturday on Highway 76 in Cassville.
The Patrol says the accident happened when a westbound vehicle driven by 53-year-old Dale K. Roller of Cassville crossed the centerline and hit an eastbound vehicle head-on driven by 60-year-old Wendy B. Miekley of Cassville.
Roller was pronounced dead at the scene by the Barry County Coroner.
It was Highway Patrol Troop D’s 100th fatality for the year in southwest Missouri.
Miekley was not injured.
