Cycle accident leaves rider in serious condition

A motorcycle accident on Missouri 96, a mile west of Carthage has left an area man in serious condition.

It happened just before 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a westbound Harley Davidson operated by 22-year-old Harley B. Lang of Carthage traveled off the roadway, struck a guardrail and overturned, ejecting Lang.

Lang suffered serious injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Mercy-Joplin hospital.
