Joplin School Board to meet this afternoon

The Joplin School Board meets this afternoon.

Board members first will meet at 4 p.m. in a closed session per section 610.021 of Missouri Revised Statutes.

That could include legal actions and litigation involving the district, the lease, purchase or sale of real estate and/or matters including confidential personnel records.

Following that meeting, the Board’s Finance Committee will meet in open session at 4:20 p.m.

Members will be talking about the tax levy for the 2022-23 academic year.
