Baxter Springs Fire Fighter that was severely injured in October passes away Wednesday evening

Following injuries that he sustained back in October, Baxter Springs Fire Fighter Malachi Brown passed away Wednesday evening.

His wife, Jessica Brown, shared the information publicly Thursday morning.

Malachi Brown was originally injured in a structure fire that caused 3rd degree burns to over 27% of his body, which led to treatment at hospitals in both Joplin and Springfield.

Brown leaves behind his wife Jessica and their three children.
