Two individuals arrested in Cherokee County Monday following reports of stolen property

Two individuals were arrested in Cherokee County Monday evening following reports of stolen property.

The incident took place in Galena.

Police responded to the scene after getting reports of stolen furniture and tools.

After an investigation was conducted, deputies identified the suspects and searched a nearby home where they found the stolen property and one of the suspects allegedly hiding in a bedroom, according to a release from the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.

Both 37-year-old Samantha Brant and 56-year-old David Lee Ashley were taken to the Cherokee County Jail on allegations of Theft, Criminal Damage to Property, and Residential Burglary.
