Ribbon cutting ceremony to be held tomorrow for opening of trail
The trail cost $453,000
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held by Missouri Southern State University and the City of Joplin tomorrow, September 10, at 10 AM.
The event will take place on the trail at the bridge crossing Turkey Creek.
The trail was funded through the Feder Highway Administration Transportation Enhancement Grant Program that was provided to the city, according to a news release from Missouri Southern State University.
Federal funding provided for the trail was $273,000, which left $180,000 for the city to pay – totaling $453,000.
