Former MSSU Professor’s memorial service changed due to Covid-19
The public can view the service on Joplin Community of Christ's Facebook page
A previously scheduled memorial service for a Missouri Southern State University professor has been changed, according to the University’s Facebook page.
Originally, a service for Dr. Robert “Bob” McDermid was scheduled for this weekend in Webster Hall’s Corley Auditorium, but had to be changed due to rising Covid-19 numbers in the area.
The service will now be for family only, with a live stream starting at 1:50 PM August 7 on the Joplin Community of Christ’s Facebook page.
The family says a larger gathering may be scheduled at a later date.
