Man dies in ATV accident in northern Kansas

PHILLIPSBURG, Kan. (AP) – A man is dead after an ATV accident in northern Kansas.

The accident happened Saturday night.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 64-year-old Terry Gitchel of Phillipsburg was driving the all-terrain vehicle in a pasture in Phillips County when he tried to go up a steep incline.

The ATV flipped over backwards.

Phillips County is about 60 miles north of Hays.
