Oklahoma health officials hopeful for more Covid-19 vaccines.

Oklahoma state health officials are hopeful that more Covid-19 vaccines will be allocated to Oklahoma as demand exceeds supply.

Deputy commissioner of health, Keith Reed, said the CDC is telling states that it’s going to change how vaccines are allocated based on usage rates.

Oklahoma is currently ranked in the top 10 nationally in per capita distribution of its vaccine supply, which means that most are going into people’s arms when then states receive them.

Oklahoma’s access to these vaccines has the potential to increase dramatically with President-elect Joe Biden planning to release all federal doses of Covid-19.

One of Biden’s goals is administering 100 million Covid shots in his first 100 days as President.
