Joplin Closes Basketball Courts

Beautiful weather, and bored kids has led to a surge of people congregating at the Joplin playgrounds and basketball courts. The City has now closed all of the basketball courts because citizens are not following the CDC’s social distancing guidelines.

Parks and trails remain open. City officials remind you to keep a minimum of 6 feet between you and other people when out walking, hiking, jogging or biking.
