Six finalists chosen for Joplin City Manager position

…… And then……there were six.

That’s the number of finalists chosen for the position of City Manager in Joplin.

About 30 people applied. The number was subsequently whittled down to eight and, now, six.

Joplin Mayor Gary Shaw says several of the finalists will be visit Joplin later in the month.

He says no identities will be released until closer to that time.

The final six were chosen during a closed session of the Joplin City Council last Monday night.
