Webb City Police searching for attempted burglary suspect

Webb City Police are searching for a 25-year-old man wanted for an attempted burglary. Read the full press release below:

On Friday, January 10, 2020, at 02:41 hours, officers with the Webb City Police Department were called to the 1000 block of Joanne Drive in Webb City in reference to a burglary in progress.

During the attempted burglary the resident fired several rounds from a handgun at the suspect. Just prior to the attempted burglary, the suspect can be seen on the resident’s home surveillance camera.

Our investigation has concluded that this was not a random burglary and the residence was targeted by the suspect.

Tre Ackerson, a 25-year old white male from Webb City, has been named as a suspect in this case. Ackerson should be considered armed and dangerous. Please contact your local law enforcement agency if you see Tre Ackerson.
