100 Year Old WWII Veteran On A Mission To Meet All Governors

As you get older, there’s often missed opportunities and experiences you regret not taking, but one 100-year-old WWII veteran doesn’t want to regret another thing in his life after missing the opportunity to meet a Civil War veteran before the last one passed away in 1956.

Sidney Walton, one of America’s oldest veterans, is meeting all 50 governors in all 50 states on his No Regrets Tour – and recently met the President in the Oval Office. He’ll be meeting with Gov. Mike Parson Thursday morning at the Governor’s Office in Jefferson City.

Sidney is being accompanied by his son Paul. The father-son duo is criss-crossing America on his No Regrets Tour, calling attention to the rapidly diminishing number of WWII veterans and meeting citizens all across the U.S., many of whom have never met a WWII vet.

Sidney joined the Army in early 1941, nine months before the Pearl Harbor attack, and served during the entire war. He’s on a mission to remind people of the sacrifices these brave men and women made for our freedom today because in a few short years there will be no WWII veterans left.

Sidney began his mission in April 2018, flying from his hometown of San Diego across the continent to meet Governor #1 in Rhode Island. He has been received by 20 governors (listed below), with 30 more to meet before the end of the year:
