Frontenac Woman Arrested for Identity Theft/Fraud

A Frontenac woman was arrested for felony identity theft and felony identity fraud after after she illegally obtained prescription medications. She was also charged with a misdemeanor offense of unlawfully obtaining a prescription-only drug through making, altering or signing a prescription order by someone other than a practitioner.

Lt. Ben Henderson said that 37-year-old Margaret Barnidge fraudulently called in multiple prescriptions to area pharmacies using an out-of-state pharmacy license. She was taken into custody Monday without incident but later released on a $5,000 bond.
