Frontenac City Staff Fired During Council Meeting
Residents, as well as the Frontenac City staff were stunned when a city councilman made a motion to shake up city hall. Councilman Pat Clinton made a motion to fire the city attorney, city administrator and city clerk at Monday night’s meeting. Even more stunning- the council actually followed through with it.
City Attorney Tim Fielder, City Administrator Brad Reams and City Clerk Terri Kutz were then escorted to their offices to clean out their desks.
Mayor Linda Grilz did not support the vote, submitting her resignation effective immediately.
Jayme Mjelde, the former interim city clerk who had been recently fired, was reinstated as a city employee.
Newstalk KZRG has reached out to the City of Frontenac for more information.
