NEO opens campus food pantry program
Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) has opened a Campus Food Pantry Program for the fall under a cooperative agreement with the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, a state program. The revised program is housed in the Library/Administration Building.
Under the partnership, NEO receives over 300 pounds of shelf-stable foods on the 3rd Monday of each month, allowing students in need to receive food. The Campus Food Pantry is located next to Peggy’s Closet, a clothing bank that allows students free access to professional wear for job interviews or presentations.
“We are extremely excited to partner with The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma to offer this service on NEO’s campus,” said Ryan Orcutt, CASA Coordinator. “The newly established food bank will be a great resource for both our on-campus and commuter students. It is located in the basement of the Library/Administration building within Peggy’s Closet.”
The Food Pantry and Peggy’s Closet are open on Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. For more information, students can visit the Center for Academic Success and Advisement in the basement of the Library/Administration Building or call 918-540-6004.
