Eight Injured In I-44 Crash

Eight people were injured in an early Friday morning crash on I-44 near Mt. Vernon. The Highway Patrol says 34-year-old Omar Mohamoud of Dodge City, Kansas rear-ended a minivan from Texas, causing it to run off the road and hit the median cable. The eight people in the van all sustained minor injuries. They ranged in age from 10 to 59. Mohamoud was uninjured.
