Suspicious activity lands one in jail for possession

On Thursday July 25^th, 2019 at approximately 12:34 A.M. an investigator with Joplin Police Departments Special Investigations Unit was conducting surveillance in the area of 11570 HWY FF Joplin, MO. The investigator observed suspicious activity and contacted a male and female standing between vehicles. The detective contacted the pair on the parking lot of the property.

While speaking with the female and male subject the male later identified as David Taylor 43 of Joplin, MO attempted to discard an object under a vehicle. The object was found to be approximately 29 grams of methamphetamine. Taylor was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance. Charges have been forwarded to the Jasper County Prosecutors Office for review.
