Man on a moped stopped with 48 grams of meth

If you have a revoked license it’s a bad idea to be riding a moped at 3 am. It’s an even worse idea to be riding that moped illegally with 48 grams of meth.

Around 3 am a Joplin Police Officer on patrol near C and Mail recognized a man, driving on a revoked license, leaving the gas station in the area on a moped. The suspected was stopped at E and main street for driving while revoked. As the suspect, 31-year-old Brandon McLean of Joplin, was being stopped he dropped a black bandana with 48 grams of meth and pills.

McLean is now behind bars in the Joplin City Jail.
