Joplin Police Department arrests man on child sexual abuse charges

On February 5th, the Joplin Police Department responded to 620 N Joplin Ave in reference to a possible child abuse.

Upon investigating the child abuse report, information was obtained that the resident, Joshua Miloszewski, a 35-year-old male was possibly in an inappropriate relationship with a juvenile female.

As the investigation continued, evidence was obtained in reference to the inappropriate relationship. As officers were working the case, Miloszewski was stopped leaving the residence by the Joplin Police Department.

Miloszewski was arrested for Statutory Rape in the second degree and Statutory Sodomy in the second degree.

Charges were sent to the Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

The Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office filed the charges of Statutory Rape in the second degree
and Statutory Sodomy in the second degree.

Miloszewski is currently being held at the Jasper County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
