Grand Jury indicts Vinita man for Involuntary Manslaughter
A Grand Jury in the Northern District of Oklahoma has turned in an indictment against a man from Vinita.
22-year-old Kolton Austyn Gene McAnally is charged with Involuntary Manslaughter in Indian Country and Assault Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury in Indian Country (superseding).
McAnally, a member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, is charged with operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol and killing Madison Barnes in Feb. 2024.
He is also charged with assault for causing serious bodily injury to another victim.
The FBI, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation are the investigative agencies.
Assistant U.S. Attorneys Stephen J. Flynn and Matthew Cyran are prosecuting the case
