Council in the Park set for Monday, January 13
Do you have questions or concerns about how your municipal government works? Want a chance to meet your council members? Have an idea you’d like them to consider?
Please join us for Council in the Park on from 5:45 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, January 13 at the Joplin History & Mineral Museum, located within Schifferdecker Park. Light refreshments will be provided.
This is not a formal council meeting; there is no agenda, and no items will be voted on. Up to three council members will be present at upcoming Council in the Park events over the next year to avoid having a quorum of council present, as no official city business will be decided during these events.
A couple of sessions were held in 2024, and more are planned for 2025, including:
- Monday, January 13, 2025: Joplin History & Mineral Museum
- Monday, April 15, 2025: Joplin Athletic Complex
- Monday, July 14, 2025: Cunningham Park
These events allow Council members to meet and engage with the public to answer questions, listen to ideas, and address concerns. We’re eager to hear from you!
