Here is a look at a few of the events and performances for Connect2Culture’s month of January.
PERFORMANCES
January 8: Paul Benjaman Band Coda Benefit Concert at 7:00 PM (doors open at 6:30 PM) at The Coda Concert House (2120 E 24th St). This benefit concert features Paul Benjaman and his band, who incorporate rock, funk, country, and blues into their Tulsa Sound. Suggested donation is $25, and all proceeds benefit The Coda Concert House. For reservations, email Jeff at info@codaconcerthouse.com.
January 18: A Few of My Favorite Things (and Yours, too!) with Glenda Austin at 4:00 PM (doors open at 3:30 PM) at Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex, Beshore Performance Hall (212 W 7th St). Glenda Austin, a pianist and composer, will perform a selection of cherished pieces, inviting audience song requests and featuring surprise special guests. Tickets are $11.70–$16.90 and can be purchased at connect2culture.org, by phone at (417) 621-9824, or at the C2C box office (Tue–Sat, 1–5 PM).
January 25: Rondell Sheridan: If You’re Over 40 & You Know It, Clap Your Hands at 7:00 PM (doors open at 6:30 PM) at Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex, Beshore Performance Hall (212 W 7th St). Comedian Rondell Sheridan brings his wit and humor to this live performance, part of the Connect2Culture Curtains Up Series 2024–2025. January 27: Ozark Festival Orchestra Kiddie Concert at 9:45 AM at Monett High School (1 David Sippy Dr, Monett, MO). This interactive, educational concert for Monett 4th and 5th-grade students will feature Haydn’s Toy Symphony. January 29–February 2: Little Women at 7:30 PM (Sunday performance at 2:30 PM) at Joplin Little Theatre (3009 W 1st Street). This beloved production of Louisa May Alcott’s classic story follows the March sisters as they navigate life during the Civil War. Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for senior citizens/students.
