Fatal crash near Purdy, Missouri

There was a fatal crash the evening before Thanksgiving in Barry County near Purdy, Missouri. The crash took place on MO 37 south of route B at around 6 pm on November 27th, 2024.

A 44 year old male from Monett was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger when he crossed the center line and slammed head on into a 65 year old male from Cassville in a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado. Both vehicles were totaled.

The 65 year old from Cassville was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Springfield and is in serious condition. More than an hour after the crash the 44 year old was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin has been notified.
