Joplin man killed in dump truck, train collision

A man from Joplin was killed when his dump truck was hit by a train Wednesday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened on a private road five miles north of Neosho. The dump truck traveled on the track into the path of a Kansas City Southern train and was hit in the side.

The 62-year-old man driving the dump truck died at a local hospital.
