Boil advisory in parts of Neosho
Neosho, MO — November 5, 2024 – The City of Neosho’s Public Works Department responded to two water main breaks that occurred overnight on November 4, impacting water pressure in several areas, including Crowder College, Walmart, the Neosho Golf Course area, and Kodiak Road. As a result, many residents in these areas may have experienced low to no water pressure.
As a precautionary measure, a boil advisory has been issued for these affected areas. While contamination is highly unlikely, this advisory has been put in place to safeguard residents. The advisory applies solely to water intended for consumption; boiling is recommended before use. This advisory is not a mandate but a precautionary step.
The Public Works Department is actively working to ensure the water supply’s safety and integrity. Water sampling tests are being conducted, and results are anticipated within the next 24 hours. An official announcement lifting the advisory will be made as soon as testing confirms the water’s safety.
