Kehoe, other top Republican candidates, make final swing through southwest Missouri
Missouri Republican gubernatorial candidate Mike Kehoe and other candidates made a stop at Jasper County Republican headquarters in Joplin Saturday morning.
Kehoe was accompanied by Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey, who is running for another term in office, and 21st District state senator Denny Hoskins, Republican candidate for Missouri Secretary of State.
Kehoe, 62, has served as Missouri’s Lieutenant Governor since 2018. He previously served in the Missouri Senate, representing the state’s 6th senatorial district, and was Senate Majority Leader from 2015 to 2018.
Kehoe said the campaign has been moving through the Show-Me State at an energetic pace..
“We’ve seen all parts of the state.,” Kehoe declared.
“People say how’s it like out there campaigning? The politics of this business is horrible but the people are great. The people, the family farms, the homes, it’s just inspirational what Missourians can do and that’s what they are doing.”
Kehoe promised to continue the momentum through election day.
“I know some people have voted already but we can’t stop. We’ve got to make sure we get people to the ballot, all the way to November 5th.”
“We have to beat the Amendment 3,” Kehoe added. “It’s the worst amendment I’ve seen in the 42 years I’ve been voting. If you go to rural Missouri, you never see a yes sign.”
“We need to tell these east coast liberals that we’re not for sale.”
Kehoe promised to work with legislative leaders and legislators when he is elected.
“The brightest days are ahead of us,” Kehoe said.
