Black walnut harvest in Missouri
Black walnut hulling stations are open! From last week until Octobert 20th, hulling stations across Missouri will be purchasing black walnuts.
As one of the only remaining wild, hand-harvested crops, the black walnut industry depends on the public to harvest every fall. Harvesting black walnuts is a great way to support conservation and sustainability while earning some extra money!
The Hammons network of hullers will be paying an opening price of $12 per 100 pounds (after hulling) to individuals or groups who bring their freshly fallen black walnuts to the plant in Stockton or one of over 140 hulling sites in Missouri and nearby states
