Donate with Community Blood Center of the Ozarks and score a free KC Chiefs T-shirt

JOPLIN, MO – September 26, 2024– Football season is here, and fans have a chance to save lives while showing off their team pride. By donating blood in October or November at any Community Blood Center of the Ozark sdonor center or mobile blood drive, donors will receive a brand-new Kansas City Chiefs Kingdom T-shirt, while supplies last.

Donors can also enter for a chance to win a game day package that includes two tickets and a parking pass to the Chief’s December 21, 2024, game against the Houston Texans.

The game package is valued at $800.

As the only supplier of blood to over 40 hospitals in 41 counties in the Ozarks, Community Blood Center of the Ozarks needs about 200 donations every day to meet local patient needs. Each blood donation can save up to three lives, meaning one donor can impact the lives of multiple patients. Donors are encouraged to go online or call if they have questions about their eligibility.

“The Chiefs promotion highlights the importance of teamwork, both on the field and in our communities. Just as the Chiefs rely on each other to win games, our local hospitals depend on us for lifesaving blood, and we depend on community members to generously give the gift of life,” said Michelle Teter, Media Relations Representative at Community Blood Center of the Ozarks. “Donating blood is more than a simple act of kindness; it is a life-saving play. Be a champion and make a difference in your community by donating with CBCO.”

Donors can give blood at any mobile blood drive or one of four CBCO donor centers located in Joplin, Mo., Springfield, Mo., Bentonville, Ark., or Springdale, Ark.

To help avoid wait times, appointments are strongly encouraged.

For more information or to schedule an appointment at a donor center or mobile blood drive near you, go to www.cbco.org/chiefs or call 417-227-5006.
