John Deere loader and Harley Davidson collide: Two injured in McDonald County

A John Deere Front End loader  and a Harley Davidson motorcycle were involved in an accident Friday evening in McDonald County.

The Highway Patrol says the two vehicles, traveling in opposite directions, were both too close to the centerline and sideswiped each other.

The Harley driver 54-year-old James T. Potter and his occupant, 55-year-old Konnie M. Potter both of Southwest City were ejected and seriously injured.

Neither was wearing a helmet.

James Potter was taken to Mercy Springfield.

Konnie Potter was transported to Mercy Joplin.

The Front End loader driver, 53-year-old Robert E. Williams of Colcord, Oklahoma, was not injured.
