Joplin man sentenced for meth case in Kansas
A man from Joplin will spend two and a half years in a Kansas prison after he plead guilty to possessing methamphetamine.
Back on May 8, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputies encountered Sanchez when he drove off the road southeast of Crestline. During that encounter, they discovered Sanchez had warrants for his arrest from Kansas and California. Sanchez was placed under arrest and found to be in possession of narcotics.
He will remain in the Cherokee County Jail until his transfer to the Kansas Prison System.
Sanchez was prosecuted by the Office of Cherokee County Attorney Kurt Benecke.
