Two arrested after puppies found dead in plastic tote outside humane society

Two men from Joplin have been arrested and charged after several puppies were found dead in a plastic tote outside of the Joplin Humane Society on Sunday.

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office says that through the investigation and help from concerned citizens, they were able to identify two suspects after reviewing surveillance cameras.

30-year-old Seth Vaile has been arrested for outstanding warrants, and charges of 8 counts of
Animal Abuse were sent to the Prosecuting Attorney’s office for further review.

36-year-old Samuel Allen is listed as a person of interest and was also contacted and arrested for outstanding warrants.

This is an ongoing investigation and more charges may be filed at a later time.
