Joplin Trolley system could be coming back – until then MAPS system is running

It’s been awhile since Joplin has operated its trolley transportation system, but it could be coming back.  

Currently the area depends on the MAPS buses.  

According to Joplin Mayor Keenan Cortez:

“The MAPS System, though, is a unique system that’s used in the metropolitan planning area, which is greater than just Joplin. I mean, if you live in some of our outlying areas, you can still take advantage of the MAPs System. You call, you make a reservation, make a schedule with them and they will come. Its door to door service.”
