Labor Day weekend camping is a great way to unplug from the everyday noise
MISSOURINET – Missouri is home to 93 state parks and historic sites, 41 of which offer camping.
If you get the sudden hankering that you want to camp out, you can take advantage of same-day reservations.
Missouri State Parks Director David Kelly has the information you need if you want to pitch a tent or yurt at your site
“We’re one of only seven states in the nation that provides free access to our state parks, but you do pay for camping and lodging and historic site tours,” Kelly said.
“Camping, you know, ranges from a $15 to a basic site up to the upper $20s for a full hookup site. We do have firewood available at all of our campgrounds for purchase,” he added.
Kelly says that Labor Day camping kicks off their fall busy season with events throughout the months of September and October. Visit MOStateparks.com for more information.
