Joplin City Council to meet Monday night

The Joplin City Council will meet Monday night.

Items on the agenda include an agreement between the City of Joplin, Missouri, and the Economic Security Corporation to administer all activities and complete the Joplin Homeowners Rehabilitation Program provided through a American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Community Revitalization Program.

The Council is expected to approve the Memorandum of Understanding between Ozark Center and the City of Joplin for the purpose of establishing a social work program and collaborative partnership between City of Joplin, Joplin Police Department, and Ozark Center.

Members also will get an advance look at the City’s proposed FY 2025 budget and will hear about a new “Council in the Park” proposal.

The meeting will get underway at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall at 602 S. Main Street.
