LA-Z-Boy donates $150,000 to Neosho Family YMCA
NEOSHO, Mo. – Neosho Freeman Family YMCA has met its Create a Moment Preschool Project fundraising goal, thanks to a generous $150,000 donation from the La-Z-Boy Foundation, along with contributions from other donors.
“The $255,000 Create a Moment Project was designed to create and enhance spaces to better serve the youth in our preschool,” said Tina Ferguson, YMCA Executive Director of Youth Development. “The funding from this project will provide for new play structures in the playground, soft turf to replace mulch, a bike path in the playground, more shade covering, a new walkway cover and lighting, new fencing, and more.”
La-Z-Boy will present a check to the Y at 10:30am on Tuesday, August 27, at the Neosho YMCA. The Y will recognize other key donors, including:
- The Farber Foundation
- Branco
- Arvest Bank
- Musket Group
“The grant allocated to the Neosho YMCA holds the potential to significantly enhance the well-being of not just our employees’ families, but also our local communities, by providing accessible and affordable childcare options and youth development programs,” said Angela James, La-Z-Boy HRBP Manager.
Tours of the Neosho YMCA Preschool will also be available to the community during the event.
