“All in for Dunc” this Sunday benefits musician Steve Duncan

Dunc2A special benefit this Sunday will help provide support for a longtime Joplin-area musician Steve Duncan who is undergoing a battle with cancer.

Guest MCs for the event will be Hank Rotten and former Road Hog front man, Dick Collins.

“All In for Dunc” will take place from 1 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. this Sunday, July 28th at VFW Post 534 at 110 E. Veterans Way in Joplin.

“Dunc has played countless benefits for other people and has been one of the bass players in this area for fort-plus years, specializing in traditional blues and country genres,” says organizer, Ed Minton.

Duncan has played with Southern Fried, Smoot Mahuti, Truck and Rooster, and other groups.

“He plays walking bass lines with his own special flair,” Minton comments.

Minton says the suggested donation at the door is $10.

The event will feature live music by Lonnie Hulette, Larry Smith Group, Night Train, Encore, Earl Cate & Them, Southern Fried and Smoot.

Food & beverages, raffles, silent auctions, and live auctions will be included.
