Newton County Republicans set to host annual Free Watermelon Feed
Mark your calendars for the Annual Free Watermelon Feed in Newton County!
It’s co-hosted by the Republican Women of Newton County and the Newton County Republican Central Committee.
It will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 6:30 P.M. at Big Spring Park in Neosho, Missouri.
The program will feature statewide candidates and Newton County Courthouse candidates 3-minute speeches in ballot order (excepting the incumbent office holders who may speak last), all subject to a time-keeper.
Constitutional Amendments 1 & 4 will be discussed by Rep. Dirk Deaton & Rep. Ben Baker.
The Free Watermelon Feed is open to all Republicans. Ice cold watermelon and bottled water will be provided—free of charge. All you need to bring is your lawn chairs, appetite, and friends & neighbors.
A straw quiz will be available to those in attendance. The straw quiz will serve as an entry into a drawing for prizes. The drawing will take place at the conclusion of the Free Watermelon Feed.
In case of rain the event will be held at the Lampo Building 500 E Spring St., Neosho, Missouri.
