Missouri’s Congressional delegation reacts to deadly shooting at Trump rally
Missouri’s Congressional delegation has been reacting to a shooting over the weekend at a Donald Trump rally in Pennsylvania that injured Trump’s and killed at least two others.
U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt says the Secret Service should be applauded for their quick response and bravery in the face of danger.
East-central Missouri Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer says the shooting is a “despicable and cowardly act of violence that underscores the severity of threats faced by our leaders.”
Senator Josh Hawley says, “It’s a wonder Donald Trump is alive.”
On the Democratic side, St. Louis Congresswoman Cori Bush says, “We must always collectively condemn political violence.”
The Republican National Convention begins today in Milwaukee.
How the shooting will impact the convention is unknown.
