One person arrested after Wednesday afternoon DWI crash

Two people injured in a traffic accident and one person placed under arrest Wednesday afternoon after an accident in a parking lot on Fir Road west of Lone Elm Road.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it happened when a car driven by 35-year-old Michelle A. Davis of Carl Junction backed into a car driven by 35 year old Amber L. Turner, also of Carl Jct.

A 9-year old female juvenile and 39-year-old James E. Turner, both occupants in the Turner vehicle, had moderate injuries.

Davis was arrested for Felony DWI with injuries and Felony Leaving the Scene of a Crash.

She was taken to the Jasper County Jail on a 24-hour hold.
