KDOT asks for input about Highway 69 in Crawford County

The Kansas Department of Transportation wants to hear from you!

They are conducting a study about the wants and needs from the community regarding U.S. Highway 69 in and around the Pittsburg metro area.

KDOT says “This is a highway study to evaluate the current and future needs of U.S. 69 in Crawford County. Stakeholder and public input, as well as traffic and safety data will be compiled and analyzed, with a goal of gathering a list of issues and opportunities for the highway.

The study area is approximately 18 miles long, from E. 650th Avenue north of Arma to the intersection of U.S. 69 and K-103. The communities of Arma, Franklin, Frontenac, and Pittsburg, as well as portions of Crawford County are included.

KDOT initiated this new study in response to interest from surrounding communities. Phase one aims to create an in-depth understanding of the influence the U.S. 69 highway has on the community.”
