Pickup, UTV collide head on in Cedar County; UTV driver killed

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a fatal accident on county Road 1801, about 7 miles south of Stockton around 5:45 Saturday evening.

It happened when a southbound 2011 GMC Sierra pickup driven by 41-year-old Edward T. Hargrave of Stockton and a  northbound John Deere Gator UTV driven by 50-year-old Joey E. Gray of Stockton collided head-on.

Gray was pronounced dead just before 8 p.m. at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar. Hargrave was not injured.

It was Highway Patrol Troop D’s 26th fatality so far in 2024.
