Joplin police seek suspect in Monday Main Street shooting

Joplin Police have identified the suspect wanted for a shooting near 18th and Main Monday night.

Police say 33-year-old Trent L. Cobb is wanted for first-degree assault and armed criminal action after he allegedly shot another man then fled the scene.

The victim was last listed in serious condition at a local hospital.

While Cobb should be considered armed and dangerous, Joplin Police Chief Richard Pearson says this was an isolated incident between people known to each other and there is no general threat to the public.
