Fiber internet project out for bid for Joplin
The city of Joplin has asked for bids to put in a fiber internet system citywide.
About four million dollars to put in by Joplin and so far a company from Nebraska has said they would invest forty million dollars into the project.
Joplin Mayor Doug Lawson told Newstalk KZRG: “It will provide better access to more parts of Joplin that will be good for businesses and our citizens.”
The new fiber network would be put underground to be more reliable incase of storm events.
